Yonkers Sports Programs

Children aged 4 to 17 can participate in the Dunwoodie Youth Association Sports Programs.  We are here for all of Yonkers, New York. We offer youth basketball, youth baseball, youth soccer, NFL Flag Football, and youth softball.  There are both recreational and travel programs.   

Our focus is to introduce children to sports, teach them the game, create new friendships and have fun.  

Our new premier facility at Redmond Park will open in the spring of 2024.  

We are a volunteer program. Volunteers are always needed.  





Registration Listing

2024 Spring Soccer

The Dunwoodie Youth Association Spring Soccer program runs from early April until the middle of June. The program is open to boys and girls ages 4–12. Join us as we open our premier facility at Redmond Field in Yonkers, NY.

The early registration cost for all divisions is $100.00.

Games will be played on Saturdays or Sundays between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

Registration for all sports is processed online through our secure payment processing company.

Once teams are selected, your coach will contact you with upcoming practice schedules

Notes: 
Practices will begin in April, according to the coach's availability and field time. The games begin in mid-April and end in June.

Practices for ages 9–12 are weeknights (Monday through Friday) between 6:00 and dusk, based on coach availability.

Instructional clinics for 4, 5, and 6 are held Saturday mornings and last approximately 1 1/2–2 hours (time to be determined).

7-8 Division practices and games are held Saturday mornings and last approximately 1 1/2–2 hours (TIME TBD)

2024 Spring Baseball & Softball

Dunwoodie Youth Association offers a Yonkers, New York, recreational and travel baseball program. We play at multiple fields in Yonkers, including Coyne Park, Scotti Field, and Yonkers Montessori Academy. Additional fee's and tryouts are required for our travel teams.

TeeBall (co-ed): Ages 4-6 years
This is a Saturday morning program and introduction to baseball.

Farm League (co-ed) - 6-8 yr
This is a coach-pitched teaching division that introduces players to the rules of baseball, which plays on weeknights after 6 p.m.

Ponytail (Girls) 6–8 years
This is a coach-pitched teaching division that introduces players to the rules of softball, which plays on weeknights after 6 p.m.

Minors Division (boys) 9–10 years
Little League Minors rules-based games are played against teams based in Yonkers. Practice and games will be played during the week after 6 p.m. and on Saturdays. There will be mandatory evaluations for all children in order to split the teams and balance them evenly.

Gidgets (Girls) 9–10 years
Full softball rules-based games are played against teams based in Yonkers. Practice and games will be played during the week after 6 p.m. and on Saturdays.

Debs (Girls) - 11-12 yr
Full softball rule-based games are played against teams based in Yonkers. Practice and games will be played during the week after 6 p.m. and on Saturdays.

Majors Division (boys) 11–12 years
Practice and games will be held during the week after 6 p.m. and on Saturdays. There will be mandatory evaluations for all children in order to split the teams and balance them evenly.
